What kind of tires do you sell and repair?

We handle most types of tires and service every one of them. Our main areas of expertise are tractor tires, passenger / light truck tires, medium truck tires and farm implement tires. However, we do handle Off The Road (OTR) tires, industrial & forklift tires, as well as floatation, ATV and  garden tractor tires. We unfortunately do not sell motorcycle or airplane tires.

Why should I buy winter tires?

If you live in a region that experiences extended winter periods, winter tires will greatly improve your traction, braking and steering response. Vastly increasing your safety and convenience. You will immediately notice that your car feels much more sure footed. We liken it to the difference between going out on ice in dress shoes or hiking boots you can tell the difference right away. Winter tires are designed especially to grip on snow or ice, they have an open tread pattern with lots of edges to grip difficult surfaces and the rubber is compounded to remain flexible even in extreme cold. Ask our sales department for a recommendation they are experts and will be more than happy to help you.

What is the proper pressure for my tractor tires ?

(How to determine your ideal air pressure).

First figure out the weight of the tractor. If you don't know off the top of your head you can
approximate by finding out the PTO horsepower and multiplying it by:

145 for a 2WD
130 for a front wheel assist
Or 105 for an articulating 4WD (Use engine HP instead of PTO HP)

For example: A 2WD 75 HP tractor would be
145 x 75 = 10875 LBS

Now you need to know how much of the 10875 LBS are on each wheel. The front to rear split is  as follows.

                                         Front / Rear
2WD                                    25% / 75%
Front Wheel Assist                35% / 65%
Articulating 4WD                  51% / 49%
For heavy rear mounted implements take 5% from rear weight and add it to the front weight.

For example change The split on a 2WD to 30% front and 70% rear. Then add the weight of the implement onto the total rear axle weight of the tractor.

So for our 2WD tractor the split would be 25% front (2718.75 LBS) and 75% rear (8156.25 LBS).
Now, divide each weight by 2 and that will give you the approximate weight on each tire.

What is a thrust line?

A thrust line is a picture of the direction that your car or trucks back axle is "pushing" you in.  The thrust line is then compared to the actual center line of the vehicle, and the axle is adjusted accordingly. Then the front wheel alignment is done.

What is the difference between a "mold cure" and a "Pre cure" recap?

A conventional "Pre cure" cap is a pre formed piece of tread rubber that is applied to a tire that has been buffed (shaved) and had a layer of gum rubber (very sticky rubber) applied. A "Mold Cure" cap's preparation is similar, the tire is buffed down the same way as in a "Pre cure" but instead of putting on a piece of pre formed tread rubber, the rubber is extruded onto the casing and then placed in a mold and pressurized. The advantage of a "Mold cure" is that there is no seam that could come apart as a result of heat and time.

Can you repair holes in tire sidewalls?

Yes we can repair a wide variety of sidewall injuries. Sidewall injuries are not repairable using a conventional plug type repair, however they can be repaired unless they are quite large. Before you scrap a tire because it has this type of injury give us a call we have saved money for thousands of our customers by repairing injuries like these.

Do you sell car tires?

Yes we do. This is one of the most common questions we are asked by prospective customers because of our name.
